Long Farms is located right outside of Bainbridge, GA. We are one of the largest vegetable u-pick in the SouthEast. The U-pick portion to the farm started with little more than a garden, selling from a small farm stand by the roadside. From these simple beginnings, we have been encouraged from our customers to expand and make additions to our ever growing vegetable crops. G.W. (Jerry) and Janice Long, along side with their 3 young children at the time, started the endeavor of a vegetable u-pick over 30 years ago. Long's Produce is currently owned and operated by G.W. Long (and wife Janice) and their son Justin Long (and wife Kelli).
The farm is currently raising the 5th generation of Long's on the very farm that was established right at 100 years ago. The farm consists of various ascpects which include pick-your-own vegetables, row crops, hay, and raising beef cattle. We grow a wide range of fruit and vegetables on more than 100 acres. It remains a family owned and operated farm. G.W. Long and his son, Justin, work hand in hand to make things grow. We here at Long Farms find pure enjoyment in being able to share our garden with you.
Our Produce Barn
Thanks to overwhelming support from the community, we here at Long Farms pride ourselves in providing fresh local produce. We strive to accommodate our customers with their vegetable needs. The public has come to find the u-pick as a great source for all those interested in canning/preserving, along with those that are concerned about the environment in which their food comes from. In a world in which we live in, we find that knowing the person who grew your food and seeing first hand it growing is quite a luxury and a comfort of sorts when trying to provide your famiy with the very best.
